HER+ is not open to new applicants

Falcon WD · Ontario homeowner guide · Checked 24 September 2026
The former Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program is closed to new applicants. Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings program has different rules for eligible windows and doors. Check those rules before you order—not after work begins.
Falcon WD can measure and quote your replacement project. The program administrator, not Falcon WD, decides rebate eligibility and payment.

Tell us about the openings you want to replace. A quotation is separate from any rebate application.
Your inquiry is handled under our Privacy Policy. Falcon WD cannot guarantee program approval.

Current Ontario program · conditional
As checked on 24 September 2026, its assessment-based pathway lists $100 per qualifying rough opening for eligible ENERGY STAR-certified windows and doors. This is not a guaranteed or stand-alone window-replacement rebate. Check the current official terms.
The window-and-door rebate is part of an assessment-based program. These are important thresholds, not a complete eligibility decision.
Arrange an initial home energy assessment through the program’s approved process before qualifying renovation work starts. A follow-up assessment is also required.
This pathway requires at least two qualifying energy-saving upgrade measures. Replacing several windows alone does not automatically count as two separate measures.
For the window-and-door measure, the program specifies at least three window rough openings or one door, sliding-door or skylight rough opening, using qualifying ENERGY STAR-certified models.
Product and installation rule: Eligible work replaces a non-ENERGY STAR unit with a complete qualifying ENERGY STAR-certified window or door and frame, installed by a professional contractor. Glass-only, sash-only or door-only replacement without a new frame does not qualify. Read the official eligibility requirements.
What is a rough opening? It is the wall opening being replaced—not every pane or sash inside a window. The program administrator applies its own definitions and final eligibility rules.
2026 assessment deadline: The follow-up home energy assessment must be scheduled and entered into the program system by 30 November 2026, then completed within 180 days of the initial assessment or by 31 December 2026, whichever comes first. Check the official terms.

No new HER+ applications are accepted. Enbridge closed intake on 5 February 2024; the old application instructions and rebate amounts should not be used for a new project.
Not under the Home Renovation Savings assessment pathway described here. It requires at least two qualifying upgrade measures and an initial assessment before work. Confirm your specific plan with the program.
